What is the BC Lift?

The BC Lift is a practical and user-friendly stair lift for wheelchair users, the disabled, and transporting goods. It can be mounted on straight stairs inside or outside, and offers automatic operation with electrically operated barriers and platform. A semi-automatic mode is available with manual operation. The lift can be folded to save space and easily adjusted for reuse. It protrudes just 27 cm from the wall when folded, causing minimal obstruction.

Reliable & Safe

The BC Lift prioritises reliability and safety. Once on the platform, the safety barriers automatically close and lock. The lift can only be activated when the barriers and access ramps are locked, and it stops automatically at the top or bottom of the stairs. The user has the ability to stop the stairlift at any point during the journey, and if there is an obstacle on the stairs, the lift halts automatically. The safety barriers are equipped with touch switches and stop immediately upon encountering an obstacle, such as pushing against a wheelchair. In the event of a power outage, the lift can be operated manually using a hand crank.

"Our goods lift is well over 30 years old and was giving us lots of problems, which were causing major issues with our production, as this is a major part of our production system. Bridge Lifts quoted a very reasonable price for a full refurbishment of the lift, which was carried out on time with minimum disruption to our production, in a very professional manner and to a very high standard. We have now been running the lift for over 9 months with no issues. We are very delighted with the lift and have put Bridge lifts on a maintenance contract for ongoing service and maintenance of this lift".

"Having used a national lift service company in the past, which was a negative experience overall, it is a great improvement to have the services of a local family company to service and maintain our lifts".
