Before the Refurbishment
The lift had begun to show signs of age, with worn landing doors, ageing door equipment, and outdated lighting. In addition, the wiring within the shaft had deteriorated over time, making future maintenance more difficult and reducing long-term reliability.
Although the existing control panel remained in good condition and continued to operate effectively, several mechanical and electrical components required upgrading.
The Work Completed
To improve the lift’s performance and reliability, our engineers carried out the following works:
Installed brand-new landing doors throughout the lift.
Replaced the complete landing door gear.
Installed new lift car doors.
Carried out a complete shaft and travelling cable rewiring, while retaining the existing control panel.
Installed a new lift car roof.
Upgraded the car lighting to modern energy-efficient LED lighting.
The Result
The completed refurbishment has transformed the lift.
Passengers now benefit from smoother and more reliable door operation, brighter LED lighting and a modernised lift car. At the same time, the new wiring and door equipment will help improve long-term reliability, simplify future maintenance and reduce the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns.
By retaining the existing control panel, the customer also achieved significant savings compared with a full lift modernisation, while still benefiting from many of the advantages of new equipment.
